James Or and Dylan Howe are playing on Sunday 14th June @ 8.30pm ewith some of the proceeds going towards the Special Olympics. Here’s a little about them: James Or It could’ve been easier than this, but in any event, it wasn’t. And from the effort comes James Or and “Commentary”. This debut album charts the stop-start nature of being, in many respects, by yourself for the very first time. A songwriter based in Cork, James Or has had the opportunity to play with a number of internationally revered acts, in some of the most charismatic venues imaginable. His indie rock sound is tinged with the influences of Blur, The Frames and more, and “Commentary” charts all the feelings of euphoria, excitement, loneliness, consternation and relief that comes with being a 25 year old who is often in over his head. Dylan Howe Now with a five-piece band, Dylan Howe is in the process of recording his debut E.P. He has taken influence from a number of genres and has a distinct sound that is powered by the band. Self taught on Guitar and piano, he was raised on the sounds of The Smiths, John Martyn, Rory Gallagher and Miles Davis.
