Cork Comic Creators Meet-up is on Monday 28th March at 8pm and is a gathering for anyone interested in making comics. This is the place to talk to others, get started, find collaborators, seek advice. You don’t need to ever have made a comic, but if you want to try, here’s the best place to begin. We usually feature brief talks covering different aspects of making comics, such as script-writing, lettering, art, and you can get feedback and advice on your work. For the most part though, the group is simply an informal get-together to chat about comics, making comics, meet collaborators, and find out what is happening with comics in Cork. 2016 is looking to be a big year for comics in Cork, with several books being slated for release, Cork’s first comic convention, several webcomics, and plenty more in the works. If you want to know more about any of this, and become a part of a burgeoning, creative, and fun scene, come along and say hello. From novices to professionals, all are welcome.
