The Russets are a new five piece band hailing from Cork and borders beyond. Rising from the mists of the Cork music scene, Alfie Golden, Míde Houlihan, Clodagh Kearney, Jess Leen & Eavan O’Leary have together created an eclectic quintet combining brass with wood and wood with strings to bring both an altered and colourful feel to an otherwise“earthy folky jazzy mellow-y” sound. The band will be debuting together for the first time on Thursday 3rd October upstairs in the Roundy Bar’s newly renovated live music venue. Hat wearing is welcome and encouraged.
